Pilgrim's Progress--"Brian"

As "Brian" goes about his pilgrimage in New Zealand and Australia,  his 16 x 20 portrait in oil begins to emerge on the canvas.  It is a challenge to work from photos, but fortunately I have good ones taken by Clayton (Boyd) who has picked up amazing skills in New York shooting models.  It would be far better to have Brian seated in front of the easel, and I may yet subject him to that when he returns.  Hopefully all the skydiving and bungee jumping hasn't rearranged his face.

Colors reflected on to camera sensor look ridiculous, but no point in trying to correct in photoshop at this point.  Some day soon I will find out how to get consistent results with the camera/computer when photographing oil paintings!

This is the 8 x 10 small study done in prep for the larger painting.
